Some of the new things in 2.6


*******URL Parsing*******
CuteFTP now has URL parsing, and clipboard monitoring, for faster access to FTP links. To use, leave CuteFTP open (minimized), then copy an FTP link (from your browser) to the clipboard. CuteFTP will automatically begin to download the file. You can also paste URLs into the URL parsing window.

******URL Paste*******
Under FTP/Paste URl, you can now paste a URL in various formats to download files. words in brackets are optional "[]" are optional. The Format is: ftp://[user:pass@]host address[:port#]path[filename]. Example ftp://www.cuteftp.com/pub/cuteftp/cute2632.exe grabs latest CuteTP file. or, ftp://rob:mypass@www.host.net:23/robstuff/ Grabs entire robstuff directory from the site using a proprietary port, user, and password.

*******New Toolbar*******
CuteFTP now sports a new look with its 256 color toolbar. About half the icons are 3D and the other half we left pretty much the same. If you install over a previous version, the location (layout) of the icons will remain the same as what you have set. Be sure to check out FTP/settings/options/display/customize to see and use the new icons.

******New Splash Screen*******

*******Importing Old Sites*******
CuteFTP now has a new Site Manager that writes to a file called smdata.dat You can import your old tree.dat files by clicking on "Import" in the new Site Manager, and then selecting your 1.4 to 2.0 tree.dat file from your previous version. You can also import 2.5 version files, WS_FTP files, and 1.3 version files. New in 2.6, is the ability to move your old bookmark entries over to the new bookmark file automatically, when importing the Site Manager.

Overwrite prompt on auto-load-index fixed, problems importing 1.8 tree.dat fixed, print causes Cute to crash fixed, Queue focus fixed, Site Manager multiple actions instability fixed, disconnect and stop crash fixed, Column sizing problems in remote pane fixed, index file description length cut-off fixed, - AutoRefresh remote directory fixed for queue transfers. Local path is conserved on reconnect, local deltree fixed, retry field and limit fixed, 

*******Other Things Added*******
"Add to queue" added to Local Pane and Remote Pane popup menus. Added overwrite prompt for URL's, added Port and user:pass support to URL paste, new help file added, 

*******Reduced File Size*******
Improved code optimization, causing executable size to drop by 40kb.
